About me

I am inspired by stories that require no common language

I'm Fahmeeta (Faa-me-tha), a Graphic Designer, Artist and Illustrator from San Francisco, California. I received my MFA in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts in 2024. I have experience working at various companies that range from fashion, marketing, software, advertisement, cryptocurrency, pharmaceuticals, non-profit and retail. I am currently working as a Graphic Designer at the DNC (Democratic National Committee) on the 2024 Election Campaigns.

My childhood spent in Sri Lanka inspires my design and obsession with bold colors and maximalist design. In my free time, I dabble in photography, painting and binge-watching "The Office" for the 100th time.

Personal projects

My personal work expands the scope of my projects from Graphic Design to Industrial Design and Fine Art. I love building Drawing Machines, spray painting, illustrating, and experimenting with new tools. My current project is a speculative writing system inspired by proto writing.
